Adar (Teacher)

Adar / Hebrew: Fire, Very Eminent

Hair & Skin: Long wavy chestnut hair with light skin.

Eyes: Emerald

Height: 5’8”

 

Adar is a 1500 year old born vampire of warrior class. She is a teacher and most recently Leah’s personal attendant. She is married to Miles and Randy is their son. She is part of Speed’s inner circle and knows the truth about his past and future. She secretly works alongside Michael in preparing for the future of the Council.

 

Anastasia (Queen of the Hunters and one of the original Council of Seven Members)

Anastasia / Greek: Resurrection

Hair & Skin: Long dark brown hair with medium skin.

Eyes: Gold

Height: 5’ 8”

 

Anastasia was an original Council of Seven member and fell from grace along with Delano. They protected the humans for thousands of years but over time they began to look down upon the humans and see themselves as Gods. Humans are just cattle to them now. Not long after their fall from grace others followed. Anastasia’s husband is Delano and they have two sons Ian and Queron.

 

Apollonia (Light Bringer)

Apollonia / Greek: Sunlight

Hair & Skin: Long blond hair with fair skin.

Eyes: Sea Foam Green

Height 5’3”

 

Apollonia is Leah’s mother and was a Light Bringer. Her magic wore out her human body when she was just 30 years old. Leah was less than a year old when her mother died. Apollonia’s dying wish was for Michael to watch over her daughter and turn her into a vampire when she reached adulthood before she came into her magic. Apollonia hoped as a vampire her body would be able to withstand her powerful magic and not cut her life so short. Michael was able to grant Apollonia’s wish but over four hundred years later Leah has yet to come into her full magic.

 

Ariella (Council of Seven Member)

Ariella / Hebrew: Lioness of God

Hair & Skin: Long dark auburn hair with light skin.

Eyes: Bright Blue

Height 5’10”

 

Ariella never faltered in her commitment to the Council of Seven. Ariella went missing the day after the Light Bringer’s battle. Michael figures she went into hiding after Raphael’s death consumed with grief and unable to fight anymore. Michael thought she might come back someday if she managed to stay alive all these years.

 

Delano (King of the Hunters and one of the original Council of Seven Members)

Delano / Old French: Of the Night

Hair & Skin: Collar length black hair with light skin.

Eyes: Bright Aqua

Height: 6’ 4”

 

Delano was very powerful and when he embraced evil his powers grew. He was an original council member and fought to protect the humans once. Even before he fell from grace he challenged Michael’s leadership. Delano fell from grace with his wife Anastasia. He believes himself to be an all-powerful God of Gods. He has been imprisoned in hell for over a thousand years thanks to the Light Bringers and the Archangels who stayed true to the cause.

 

 

Derrick (Bouncer and Queron’s Right Hand Man at After Dark)

Derrick / English: Famous Ruler

Hair & Skin: Long black hair with medium skin.

Eyes: Topaz

Height 7’

 

Derrick is a 300 year old born vampire. No one is sure of his bloodlines but most people assume he is of warrior class. At 7’ tall even older vampires think twice about taking him on. He works as a bouncer at Queron’s club After Dark. Queron calls him big D and he trusts Derrick to keep the club under control. Derrick is always dressed in the best suits.

 

Drake (Anastasia’s Captain and Lap Dog)

Drake / English: Snake, Dragon

Hair & Skin: Long black hair with medium skin.

Eyes: Aqua

Height 6’3”

 

Drake is a 900 year old vampire and a Hunter. His father was part of Anastasia’s personal guard but was killed by Leah in one of her first battles. Drake has been looking for revenge against Leah for hundreds of years. He made his way to the States with Anastasia and has been playing the role of her loyal assistant.

 

Gabriel (Council of Seven Member and Gate Keeper)

Gabriel / Hebrew: Man of God

Hair & Skin: Collar length dark brown hair with medium skin.

Eyes: Jade

Height 6’1”

 

Gabriel stayed strong and continued protecting the human race with Michael and Ariella. When the Light Bringers sent Delano to hell, Gabriel took the job of guarding the gates of hell to keep anyone from releasing Delano. One of Gabriel’s gifts is telekinesis and no one is stronger than him when it comes to this ability. His telekinesis is how he is keeping the gates to hell locked. Gabriel and Michael have a friendship which has held strong from the very beginning. He has a strong sense of duty and is very controlled in his emotions. Gabriel sees emotion as a weakness which can influence one to make a wrong decision but he is far from cold, he just wants you to think he is. However since the fall of the council he’s grown bitter and angry. He holds it together for Michael.

 

Hawke (First Officer of the Shadow Guard)

Hawke / English: Hawk

Hair & Skin: Collar length light blonde hair with loose curls and fair skin.

Eyes: Violet

Height: 5’9”

 

Hawke is a 1000 year old born vampire, who believes his father was of warrior class and his mother was a peasant. Hawke’s inferior bloodlines caused him to be looked down upon and many thought it meant he was lacking in skill, strength and speed. In some ways this might be true but Hawke makes up for this with his fierce determination and cunning. Hawke does have one freaky skill which earned him his name and that is his ability with a crossbow or any bow. Hawke almost never misses a kill shot on his fellow vampire enemies. If he misses, he meant to. Hawke came to Leah’s aid when she was first turned into a vampire. He helped her learn how to live her new life. One of the first things Leah did as Queen was make Hawke First Officer. In the beginning Speed objected to his placement but it didn’t take long for Hawke to earn Speed’s respect. Hawke has a wicked sense of humor and believes in having some fun once in a while. He is always giving Speed a hard time about being all work and no play. Michael knows the secret about his father.

 

Ian (Prince and future King of the Hunters)

Ian / Hebrew: God is Gracious

Hair & Skin: Shoulder length black hair with light to medium skin.

Eyes: Amber

Height 6’ 3”

 

Ian is a born vampire of royal blood and the first son of Delano and Anastasia. Future king of the Hunters Delano has great hopes for his son. Ian is showing signs that he has his father’s abilities. His name means God is gracious but there is nothing gracious about him. He has been raised to see himself as a God. Ian is power hungry and feels everything is for his taking. Leah was one of those things and became part of his undoing.

 

Josey (Daughter of the Leader of the Aristocratic Party)

Josey / Hebrew: Shall Increase

Hair & Skin: Long brown hair with light to medium skin.

Eyes: Topaz

Height 5’ 6”

 

Josey is Loren’s daughter and a spoiled rotten aristocrat. She’s a bit of a tramp offering herself up to any Shadow Guard that will take her. She is particularly obsessed with GT. She doesn’t think much of humans.

 

Keegan (Upper level Shadow Guard Tracker)

Keegan / Irish Gaelic: Little Fiery One

Hair & Skin: Shoulder length blonde hair with light skin.

Eyes: Aqua

Height 6’ 4”

 

Keegan may be a warrior class vampire but his heritage is definitely Viking. His size and big booming voice strikes fear into almost everyone. He is one of the best trackers the Shadow Guard has. Zane is his best friend and tracking partner. He has very little respect for the couch surfing aristocrats. If you want to keep your head never bring up that the big Vikings name means “little fiery one”.

 

Lance Ryan (Chief of Police)

Lance / Latin: One Who Serves - Ryan / Irish Gaelic: Little King

Hair & Skin: Short red hair with medium skin.

Eyes: Hazel

Height: 5’ 10”

 

Lance Ryan is the Chief of Police in the city where Leah and her Shadow Guards do most of their patrolling for Hunters. Lance found out the night Leah saved him and his 10 year old daughter from a Hunter attack there were things happening in his city at night. Things he thought only happened on the Si-Fi channel. Lance soon realized his police force had very little chance against the Hunter vampires and formed an alliance with Leah. Leah takes care of the Hunter vampires and the police force goes about taking care of the humans. The alliance allows Leah and her Shadows to work a bit more freely. Lance is the only one who knows about Leah and her Shadow Guards and what they really are. Lance is forever grateful to Leah for saving him and his daughter.

 

Leah Sweeny (Clan Leader and Queen)

Leah / Old English: Meadow Sweeney / Irish Gaelic: Little Hero

Hair & Skin: Long blonde hair with fair skin.

Eyes: Sea Foam Green

Height: 5’ 4”

 

Leah was once human but is now a 438 year old vampire. Michael says she is part of the great prophecy which he has spent most his life guarding and searching for its key players. Leah is a bitten vampire not born and there for should be inferior to all classes of born vampires but she is just the opposite, she surpasses them all in speed, strength and skill. Michael has studied her freakish abilities for a bitten and only he knows the truth of her bloodlines. She does have one weakness, she has a hard time feeding, she doesn’t crave blood like the others. In fact the thought of drinking blood makes her ill. Leah still craves human food even though she can’t eat it.

 

Loren (Leader of the Aristocratic Party)

Loren / Latin: The Lost

Hair & Skin: Short brown hair with light to medium skin.

Eyes: Topaz

Height 5’ 10”

 

Loren is the leader to the aristocrats and Josey is his daughter. The group is a bunch of pompous spoiled rich vamps that live under the protection of the Shadow Guard. Leah allows them to stay as long as they don’t hunt humans for food. In breeding they are just above a bitten. But the way they act you would think they were royalty. They are arrogant enough to treat some of the Shadows like they are hired help to protect and serve them. Most the Shadows can’t stand the aristocrats.
